Nineline Technologies, LLC is a veteran
and woman-owned small business formed in the State of Delaware and based
in the National Capital Region.
The seed for 9|T was planted in 2006 during a marathon training run. Six miles out along an isolated section of the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail in Maryland, one of our founders suffered a severe Achilles tendon pull. Not carrying a cell phone and with no one else in sight to offer assistance, he ended up walking a slow, painful six miles back to the starting point.
The idea that in the 21st Century someone could still be injured, stranded, and unnoticed in a relatively populated area stuck with our founder. Was our modern technology being fully used to keep people safe and sound?
Over the years, our founders have served as soldiers and diplomats around the world, including Iraq and Afghanistan, and have seen plenty of need to help make the world a safer place. And so 9|T was formed in late 2010, with the goal of fully exploiting technology to make people and communities safer and more secure.
Our first product harkens back to that isolated trail in 2006 -- a personal emergency response system designed to meet the demanding needs of outdoor athletes. But it doesn't stop there. There are plenty of areas where technology is needed to help make a safer world, and 9|T is doing everything it can to help.
